★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道祖土家文書（さいどけもんじょ）（県指定有形文化財・古文書）道祖土家（下八ツ林）は、中世末期の豪農で、周辺の支配者でした。
当時は戦国時代で関東管領上杉氏や北条氏、太田氏の支配下にあり、道祖土氏はその代官になっていました。そのため上司からいろいろな通知や命令が文書できました。年貢、検地、徴兵等に関する文書です。（現在、埼玉県立文書館に寄託）
