木造２階建、切妻造（きりづまづくり）、桟瓦葺（さんがわらぶき）、平入（ひらいり）、建築面積126平方メートルで、２階は養蚕の場となっている。２階は細かく部屋割りがされており、本来は旅籠として建てられたものである。当時の宿場町の景観を伝える貴重な建物である。（登録基準：国土の歴史的景観に寄与）

 This house is located in Niekawa-juku, which was a busy post town in Chichibu Koshu.
