I went to the back of the warehouse, but there was a poster telling me to go to the back office, but I couldn't enter because of the road closure. 関	関清志 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021年11月6日に見学しました。佐竹家の菩提寺である曹洞宗のお寺です。元々は、常陸国(茨城県常陸太田市)に寛正3年1462年、14代佐竹義人公が、夫人の冥福を祈って創建されました。慶長7年1602年に佐竹家は、秋田へ転封となりました。秋田佐竹氏初代義宣公が、市内の楢山に移転させました。残念ながら、寛永元年1624年に焼失してしまい、翌寛永2年1625年に現在地に再建しました。かろうじて焼け残った総門も、移築したそうです。その後、延宝4年1676年に再度火災に見舞われ、総門、山門、御霊屋は、延焼を免れました。貞享4年1687年に本堂が再建されています。また、総門の仁王像は、9代藩主佐竹義和(よしまさ)公の命により、寛政9年1797年、大仏師の七条左京によって作られました。代々の藩主が眠る御霊屋は、唐破風造の前殿が備わる見事な造りです。現在、平成27年から修理工事が進められており、令和6年12月に完了する予定だそうです。 We visited on November 6, 2021.
