霧ヶ滝同様、滝前には大きな岩が転がっているので、一般の人は行かないだろうが、滝の近くまで行くつもりの人は沢靴やスパイク長靴などを履いて、転倒や水流などを避けながら慎重に向かうのは良いだろう。
この滝は不動滝へ向かい階段から、滝壺を少しだが覗くことができる。もちろんその滝壺の色はとても綺麗だった。
さらに不動滝への道の途中で天河滝の落ち口を上から確認できる。
