★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は菅原道真公。創建年代は不詳ですが，延宝2（1674）年地頭小出五郎ェ門尉が字前東面に再建。享保3（1718）年，江戸へ航行中の奥州の大船「虎吉丸」当地の洋上にて進まず，船員端舟を出して偵察すると当社大祭中。船員一同驚いて社殿に幣帛を捧ぐと「虎吉丸」は元のように動き出したという事件があった。宝暦5（1755）年遷座し，昭和27年国道51号線拡張のため現神域へ移転したそうです。
国道51号線白塚交差点のブロック塀に囲まれた一角が境内で，さっぱりしすぎている感じがします。昔は大きな社だったのだろうと思うのですが・・・拝殿は近年改築されたのでしょう，典型的なプレハブ建築でありますが，御本殿に関しては朱色も鮮やかな美しい造営です。
もし，この沖で船が動かなくなったら，船長さんはここに船員を派遣して，当社が大祭中かどうかを確認すると宜しいでしょう。
 The deity of the festival is Michizane Sugawara. The date of construction is unknown, but in 1674 Enryō Koide Goroe was rebuilt on the east side in front of the character. In 1718, Kyoho 3 (Torayoshi Maru), a large ship in Oshu that is sailing to Edo, does not proceed on the sea at this location, but a sailor's end boat is sent out for reconnaissance. When all the sailors were surprised and offered a sash to the shrine, there was a case where "Torayoshimaru" started to move as it did. It is said that it moved to the Holy Period 5 (1755) and moved to the current sanctuary to expand National Route 51 in 1952.
There is a corner surrounded by a block fence at the Shiratsuka intersection on Route 51, and it feels too refreshing. I think it used to be a big shrine in the past... The worship hall may have been reconstructed in recent years, but it is a typical prefabricated building, but the main shrine is a beautiful construction with a bright vermillion color.
If the ship doesn't move offshore, the captain may dispatch a crew here to see if the company is at the festival.
