★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御祭神は経津主命・武甕槌命。境内の由来書によれば，創建は元和3（1617）年瀬古坪大宮戸に大氏子四軒により八幡宮として創建されたが，寛文5（1665）年の寺社法令により香取鹿島神社と改めさせられ（例によっていつもの黄門ちゃまの八幡潰しですね），享保16（1731）年に現在地である御立山（宮山）に遷宮した。なお，茨城県神社誌によれば，長歴4（1040）年創建で，明治14年村社列格とありますが，住所からして同じ社のはず。しかしながら，詳細な記述のある石碑の由緒書が正しいととらえるべきでしょう。
鎮守の杜の杉並木に囲まれた御神域に，まず，一の鳥居たる大鳥居。そして二の鳥居。右手には八坂神社と札のある倉庫。八坂神社とあるからには天王祭のための神輿殿なのでしょう。そして社殿ですが・・・屋根が二つ！ええっ？答えはそう，後ろの屋根は大きな御本殿（彫刻も芸術的な見事な造営です）の覆屋で，なんという迫力でしょうか。境内社の祠も多数鎮座し，格式高き大社であることは明らかです。
The deity is Futsunushi and Takemikazuchi. According to the Ibaraki Prefecture Shrine magazine, it was built in 1040, and it is said to be a village shrine in 1884, but it should be the same company from the address. However, the detailed description of the stele's historical book should be taken as correct.
In the sacred area surrounded by cedar trees of the guardian forest, first of all, the large torii gate. And the second torii. Yasaka Shrine and a warehouse with a tag are on the right. Since it is called Yasaka Shrine, it is probably a portable shrine for the Tenno Festival. And the shrine ... There are two roofs! Yeah? The answer is yes, the roof behind is the cover of a large main shrine (the sculpture is also a wonderful artistic construction), and how powerful it is! Many shrines of the precincts shrine are also enshrined, and it is clear that it is a prestigious shrine.
