フェリーで新潟港上陸。 ふらふらとあてもなく北関東方面に走っていたら道の駅を発見。 新潟市内で一軒「自販機そば」を平らげた後だったので、新米の白飯のみをここでいただいた。 ……うんま。なんだこの銀シャリは❗️ 粒が一つ一つ立っていて、つやっつやのもっちり❗️甘っ❗️魚沼だからという気のせいじゃなく、これは紛れもなく旨い銀シャリ。菜っぱの漬け物であっちゅーまにごちそうさま。 北海道には「ゆめぴりか」と最近コシヒカリと食味が上…なんてうたっている品種も有るが、これは旨いわ。ゆめぴりかはまだまだだね(背中は見えてる笑)

道の駅 南魚沼の中の食堂です。 食券制で、券売機で買った券は そのまま持っていて、 券の番号で呼ばれます。 定食メニューは無料でご飯を 大盛りに出来ます。 もつ煮定食を注文。 南魚沼の新米なので大盛りにしたい ところですが、お腹が許してくれず ご飯少なめでお願いしました。 味噌汁はなめこ汁、野沢菜、 煮物が付いて来ました。 煮物はとても美味しく、ひよこ豆も 入っていました。 もつはものすごく柔らかく煮てあり、 これなら歯の弱い方でも 楽に食べられると思います。 個人的にはもう少し噛み応えが あった方が好みではありますが。 味噌煮は凄く濃いです。 麹味噌でしょうか? ドロッとするくらいの濃さです。 濃いけれど少しもしょっぱくなく、 むしろさっぱりしているくらい。 刻みネギが山盛りで乗っています。 これで850円はまずまずだと思います。 つい永井食堂と比べてしまいますが あそこが安すぎるだけで普通は このくらいですかね。

残念ながら並以下。遠方から訪ねてくる方は別のお店を薦めます。私もご飯を楽しみにわざわざ行きましたが、家で炊く炊き立てご飯の方がよっぽど美味しい。主役の味付けもマスタードの酸味の主張が強すぎてピンとこない。米どころの町なので、ご飯の美味しさにこだわった方が良いと思います。ちなみにお肉も一枚が大きすぎて食べにくく、かじってもなかなか噛み切れませんでした。

店内明るくてきれいです。コロナ対策も十分。 従業員さんが元気で感じが良く、店内の雰囲気がいいです。 食券を購入。5000円以上は使用できないのでレジで両替できます。 食券に番号が振られているので、そのまま席に座り、料理ができると番号で呼び出してくれるシステム。 妻有ポーク塩糀ロースト定食1,300円を注文。 料理を取りに行った際に、ご飯を大盛にするか聞かれる(無料です)。魚沼産コシヒカリですから、当然大盛ですよね。ほかの方も大盛注文多かったです。 お茶、水はセルフです。 塩糀の酸味とたっぷりのネギで豚肉の最高の食べ方の一つ。ほかでは、食べられないので、お薦めです。 あと、大盛の盛りが大食いの人には有難いほどに大盛です。

きりざいというものを知らなかったのですが、野菜や漬物を細かくきざんだものとのことです。 納豆・辛みそと一緒に混ぜて、鮭フレークがまぶされたご飯と一緒にかっこみます。 コリコリとした食感で納豆のクセをうまく緩和するきりざいが絶妙。 気取らない家庭的な味でおいしいです。 なめこたっぷりのお味噌汁も最高。 お店のおねえさんの愛想もよく、おススメです。

The restaurant is quite good for a "Roadside Station" one. The menu is based on quite popular dishes while the ingredients are all local. Of course, the rice is the famous Koshi Hikari which is grown in the valley and is considered as one of the best in Japan. The restaurant can get busy, but this time we were there only with a few other guests. The food is prepared to order, so it takes a bit of time for it arrive, but the wait is worth it. Pricing is also very reasonable for what you get.
