★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 「まんなおし地蔵尊」は、奈良町の南部、「京終エリア」と隣接する地域にあたる「瓦堂町」の町並みの中に佇む地蔵尊です。
このお地蔵さまは、平安後期～鎌倉初期に造立され、当初からこの近くにお祀りされていたものとなっており、途中には荒廃する時期もあったため近隣のお寺「徳融寺」などで長年安置されて来ましたが、昭和になってから新しい地蔵堂を建立して現在のように丁寧にお祀りされるようになっています。
なお、まんなおし地蔵尊としては東大寺境内の端に位置する同名の地蔵尊が知られていますが、いずれのお地蔵さまも「まん（間・巡り合わせ）」をよりよいものとする、運気向上につながるお地蔵さまと考えられます。
