I ordered Sarashina soba, and I was surprised at the large amount. Of course the taste was good. I bought buckwheat tea as a souvenir, but it's a pity that it was a Chinese product!

The cold soba can be really refreshing taking a thousand steps to reach the top of Yamadera. The imoni has a full beefy flavor with a mildly sour taste. Kaimochiage is crispy outside, chewy and sticky in the inside. It has a taste of soy sauce and wasabe. In just one place one can enjoy the several dishes Yamagata is famous for.
