創建年も江戸期にあった事は間違いないが、
ハッキリした事はわかっていない。
江戸七森の1つであり、由緒正しい神社である。
ただ、神社名にもなっている竹の森は見る影もない。
1本も生えていないのが寂しい。
JRの馬喰町駅から徒歩5分程度の距離。

大きな白い幟が目印になりました。
神社は小さくこじんまりとしてました。
お稲荷様は金網で保護されてます。
