[	[redacted] on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hike was nice and easy. But 0 view, nothing but trees. You'll see a mini stone monument for your efforts but that's about it. Did I also forget to mention the bear warnings? Depending on your entrance you'll be given a can to bring and bang if a bear is spotted.
j	julius janak on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gave it 5 ? because I like abandoned places. For me it had it's charm. Also my guest house was nearby. A good hiking place. Not long but it's a way up, little hiking skills needed.
D	David Hoffman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful views and scenic spot. But it can be buggy. Also, there are no ruins to speak of. They mark where structures once stood but there is nothing left.
E	Emoney Flex on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This quaint clearing atop a small hill is quite delightful…….until you begin to be eaten alive by insects. I could barely enjoy the scenery for 10 seconds before being constantly swarmed. I’ve been to many many parks and gardens in Japan and never have I encountered so many pests! Also, if you are coming here to see ruins you will be sorely disappointed. They should really call this place the “Takayama Castle Former Site” as that is all it is.
M	Molochai on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect spot to see autumn leaves! It was a quiet and peaceful walk, very few people around. Lovely!!! Don't expect to see a lot in terms of ruins, only bits of the foundation remain.
B	Brent on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No ruins but the walk is worth it. Peaceful hike up the hill along heaps of different paths. Hardly any tourists there. Nice views of the town through the trees. Up the top is the site of the old castle and where the foundations would have been.

We went on a rainy and foggy day and gave the woods and the town a mystical feel. Stunning view of all of Takayama and very impressive ruins.
