Zawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山手線･京浜東北線の新駅である高輪ゲートウェイ駅を高台にある境内から見ることができる当社は、明応年間(応仁の乱後)に創建された高輪一帯の総鎮守である。境内には聖徳太子(厩戸王)を祀る太子堂があり、それを囲う石壁は精緻な彫り物が施してあり、信仰の篤さを物語る。1830年台に描かれた江戸名所図絵には、青山火事にて焼失する前の社殿等が描かれており、当時は神社の前には東海道(現在の第一京浜)とその先は江戸湾であり海に面した神社であった事がわかる。近年では、都営浅草線沿線の8つの神社による東京福巡りの神社の一つとして知られるようになった。 The Takanawa Gateway Station, which is a new station on the Yamanote Line and Keihin Tohoku Line, can be seen from the precincts on the hill. T	TAKUJI I. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 品川駅の高輪口を出て第一京浜を高輪ゲートウェイ駅方面に向かうとこの神社がある。第一京浜沿いで高輪ゲートウェイ駅からも近いが、鳥居からの入口が狭いので、見落としてしまう。階段を登り境内もあまり広くないが、厳かな雰囲気。参拝し御朱印も頂ける。 From the Takanawa exit of Shinagawa station, head toward Daiichikeihin towards Takanawa gateway station and you will find this shrine.
