異説として宗治の兄清水月清入道宗知の辞世とも伝わっています
It is a monument of death poem that was erected at the site of the main enclosure of Takamatsu Castle in Bichu as a project of the 400th anniversary of Shimizu Muneharu in May 1982.
As a different theory, it is said that Soji's older brother Shimizu Tsukiyoiri Michi Munechi's death poem.

浮世をば 今こそ渡れ 武士の名を 高松の苔に残して
その作法は見事で、秀吉も「宗治は武士の鑑であった」と絶賛したと伝わっています。
Muneharu Shimizu rowed a boat on the water, and after a short dance, he was guilty of seppuku.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 個人的に清水宗治は非常に好きな武将のため、その辞世の句が碑になっているのを見て少し感動してしましました。
言い方は悪いですが、敗軍の毛利の一武将に過ぎない身で
後世にここまで名を残すのは特筆すべきことだと思います。
Personally, Muneharu Shimizu is a very favorite military commander, so I was a little impressed to see the phrase of his death poem as a monument.
It's bad to say, but I'm just a military commander of the defeated Mouri.
I think it is noteworthy to leave such a name in posterity.
