★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道路の上（アスファルト）を行くとそんなに自然を感じませんし、オススメはしません。単調な風景ですし面白みがありません。
森の中を是非足を運んで下さい。面白い看板があちこちにあり疲れを癒やしてくれます。
森の中を巡っての助川山の頂上は人味違いますよ？自然を思い存分楽しめる場所です。
沢近くのの道を外れて500m程歩くとトンネルがあったんですが何だったんでしょう?人の足跡は全くありませんでしたが、途中で引き返しました。トンネルの上部は車が走ってました。
 When I go on the road (asphalt), I don't feel so much nature and I don't recommend it. It's a monotonous landscape and it's not interesting.
Please come and visit us in the woods. There are interesting signboards here and there to heal your tiredness.
The summit of Mt. Sukegawa, which goes around the woods, is different, isn't it? It is a place where you can fully enjoy nature.
When I walked about 500m off the road near the river, there was a tunnel. What was it? ? There were no footprints of people, but I turned back on the way. A car was running at the top of the tunnel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 初めて助川山に登ってきました。コースは整備され気持ち良く登ることが出来ましたが下りは膝が悲鳴をあげてしまいました。普段からしっかり鍛えておかないといけませんね?

運動不足の体に鞭打って来た甲斐がありました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 日立市民ですが、初めて助川山に登りました。平日の早朝に高齢者中心の５名で頂上を目指しました。
常磐高速を上から眺め、小川のせせらぎを聞きながら、水芭蕉栽培地を見学したりしながら進み「おむすび池」で休憩。駐車場からゆっくり歩いても頂上には１時間30分で着きました。
頂上で体験した360度のパノラマは晴天にも恵まれ最高でした。
頂上には東屋も有り、30分ほど休憩。
帰りは分かりやすい広い道路を下りました。
往復別な道を歩きましたが危険な箇所は1つも有りませんでした。
道案内をしてくれた地元の方２名は、
毎日通ったそうで1000回来たそうです。
ゴミ拾いもしながら歩く姿に地元愛を感じられ頭が下がりました。
30年前の林野火災の跡地だそうですが、
日立市と地元の人たちの協力で自然が立派に蘇っていました。
ひとりでも多くの人に訪れて貰いたいと思いました。
I am a Hitachi citizen, but I climbed Mt. Sukegawa for the first time. In the early morning of weekdays, we aimed for the summit with five people, mainly elderly people.
Take a break at "Omusubi Pond" while watching the Joban Expressway from above, listening to the babbling of the stream, and observing the skunk cabbage cultivation area. Even if I walked slowly from the parking lot, I arrived at the summit in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The 360-degree panorama I experienced at the top was the best, blessed with fine weather.
There is also an eastern store at the top, and you can take a break for about 30 minutes.
On the way back, I went down a wide road that was easy to understand.
I walked another way back and forth, but there was no dangerous place.

I felt the love of the locals as I walked while picking up trash, and my head went down.
It seems that it was the site of a forest fire 30 years ago.
With the cooperation of Hitachi City and the locals, nature has been revived splendidly.
I wanted as many people as possible to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 町を一望にできる気持ちの良い散歩道です。登り降りのコースがいくつかありそれぞれで難易度や沿道の風景が異なるので飽きません。
ただ、城南町から登ったときの公園の入口に鎖が張られて以前より出入りしにくくなっているのは意図が理解できずモヤモヤします。

However, I can't understand the intention and feel uncomfortable that the chain is stretched at the entrance of the park when climbing from Jonan Town, making it harder to get in and out than before.
