★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the best mackerel sushi I've eaten. The service from the owners is superb and the experience of sitting in such a small place is unique. You'll have to make the effort, since they only speak Japanese, but you'll be rewarded with a great meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The nigiri plate was very nice and fresh. However, this is not the place if you're on a budget. The lunch plate was 2.800 yens. The place is quite small, so you might have to wait. No English, this is as local as it gets. Service is very nice though.

It’s Seafood Donburi and pressed sushi only at here, but the taste is Kyoto only as well.
The chef is really serious cooking, and the lady is doing service friendly.
Since we came to Kyoto and knows this store, it has become our must-come restaurant. The home style is always attached us come back again.
If you want to enjoy a Kyoto time, just open door and sit for a lunch meal.
