玄室の石棺は、凝灰岩製の刳抜式家形石棺（くりぬきしきいえがたせっかん）で、東日本でも宝塔山古墳を含めてわずか数例になります。

The sarcophagus in the entrance room is a tuff-shaped hollow sculpture-type house-shaped sarcophagus. It is only a few examples in East Japan, including the Hotosan Tumulus.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 駐車場が古墳のすぐ横にあります。アクセスはとてもしやすいのですが、あまり草木の手入れがなされていないようです。
夏の暑い日に訪れたときは、石室まで草をかき分けながら進みました。また、石室前の薄暗いところには大量の藪蚊やらハチが生息してますので、虫除け等準備しておいてから見学に向かわれたほうが良いと思います。
方墳とのことですが、自然の生命力の前に形を確認するのは難しかったです。石室は高さがあまりないのでかがんで入ることになりそうですが、虫の大群が襲ってきましたので断念しました。
The parking lot is right next to the tumulus. It's very easy to access, but it seems that the vegetation isn't well maintained.
When I visited on a hot summer day, I walked through the grass to the stone chamber. In addition, a large number of bush mosquitoes and bees live in the dimly lit place in front of the stone chamber, so I think it is better to prepare for insect repellent before heading to the tour.
It was a burial mound, but it was difficult to confirm its shape before the vitality of nature. Ishimuro is not very tall, so I'm likely to bend over, but I gave up because a horde of insects attacked me.

古墳の調査を行っているようです。
追記
令和３年４月１１日訪問。
埋め戻しが済んでいました。
以前、夏場に訪れた際に鬱蒼と雑木や篠が生い茂っておりましたが、諸々が綺麗に片付けられており、歩きやすく古墳の形を感じることができました。
まだ、雑草が生えてくる時期ではありませんが、年間を通して整備され近所の人や古墳好きな人から愛される場所であってほしいと思います。

Postscript
Visited on April 11, 3rd year of Reiwa.
It was backfilled.
Previously, when I visited in the summer, it was dense and overgrown with miscellaneous trees and shinobi, but everything was neatly tidied up and I could feel the shape of an old burial mound.
It is not the time for weeds to grow yet, but I hope it will be maintained throughout the year and loved by neighbors and burial mound lovers.
