★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 先日、ご近所の方からこのお店の菓子折りをいただいた。
小千谷市の春泉堂と印刷された包装紙を開くと、綺麗な桜の絵柄の「船岡山」という御菓子が現れた。
小千谷市に有る有名な公園の名前が付けられた御菓子だ。
きっと小千谷市民にとっては馴染みの銘菓なのだろう。
昔、私はこの船岡山公園に何度か訪れたことがあり、そこが桜の名所だと知ってはいたがあいにく桜の季節には行ったことがなかった。
この御菓子の包みを開けたとき、その素朴な桜のイラストに目が奪われ心がほっこりした。
「花より団子」
さっそく、美味しく御菓子をいただいた。
一般的なブッセのような形をしている。甘さも控えめだ。
桜の開花はもうすぐそこだが、口に広がるほのかな甘さと共に一足先に我が家は桜に包まれた。
