駅から徒歩10分住宅街の中にポツンと佇むお店にて憧れの上生菓子を購入出来ました！
虎屋さんで修行されたとのこと、詳しくないですがあんこのお味が似ていると感じました。
勝手な想像ですが大徳寺さんのお側にあるので、お茶席での利用が多いのかな？
お抹茶と共に頂く方がお味が活きるように思います。

お菓子を受け取るときも、箱を開けたときも、頂くときも、嬉しい気持ちでいっぱいです。
お茶のお菓子なので、食べた瞬間に物凄く美味しいというような、分かりやすいインパクトは感じないかもしれません。
いつも、じんわりと美味しいな、可愛いな、後味まで綺麗だなと思いながら頂いています。
後になって、他にはないお菓子だと気付くかもしれません。
生ものなので、是非とも風味や柔らかさを損なわないうちに頂きたいです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 小学校の真横にある和菓子店。ネットで調べると、お茶の世界ではとても有名なお店のようだ。電話して発注し、決められた時刻に取りに行くスタイル。お店には本当に何もなく、4畳ぐらいの入り口があって、お金を払って受けとるだけ。商品ケースも陳列棚もなにもない。駅からタクシーで3000円くらいかかるこんな場所で、なぜこのような商売のやり方が成立しているのか不思議で仕方ない。肝心のお菓子の味であるが、4条高島屋の地下街のお菓子と大差ないレベル。ここでのクチコミやビジネススタイルから考えるともっともっと美味しくなければ割にあわない。京都市街のデパートには、まともな和菓子がたくさん売っているので、ここに来る理由はまったくない。非推奨。

A style in which you call to place an order and go to pick it up at a set time. There is really nothing in the shop, there is an entrance of about 4 tatami mats, and you just pay to receive it. There are no product cases or display shelves. I can't help wondering why such a business method is established in such a place where it costs about 3000 yen by taxi from the station. The taste of sweets is essential, but it is not much different from the sweets in the underground shopping center of Takashimaya. Considering the word-of-mouth and business style here, it is not worth it unless it is even more delicious. There is no reason to come here as there are many decent Japanese sweets sold at department stores in downtown Kyoto. not recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Currently rated the best sweets shop in Japan on tabelog. Take away only, and you have to make a reservation (for any time the next day was fine when I dropped by). You order a number of boxes with each containing four assorted sweets, at 1750 per box.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best wagashi I have ever had. The sweetness is perfect. The place only has takeouts. You have to book at least a day in advance and you have to specify the time of day for pickup. 10 minute walk from Kitaoji station but it's worth the detour.
