★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1990年8月に自転車で大滝側から越えました。
滝越からすぐにダートですが、良く踏まれた砂利の走り易い路面です。滝越からは標高差もさほどないので、大した苦もなく峠まで登りました。峠付近は笹薮が広がっています。
この白巣峠は長野側と岐阜側の林道が峠で繋がっておらず、薮に埋もれた山道を越えなければならないという、林道サイクリストには有名な峠でした。期待して行きましたが、新しい切り通しが開通していました。でもゲートには大きな石が置かれていて、越えるのは大変でした。
I crossed from the Otaki side by bicycle in August 1990.
It's a dirt road right from Takigoshi, but it's a well-trodden gravel road that is easy to drive. There is not much difference in altitude from Takigoshi, so I climbed to the pass without much difficulty. Bamboo bushes are spreading around the pass.
This Shirasu Pass was a famous pass for forest road cyclists, as the forest roads on the Nagano side and Gifu side were not connected by a pass, and they had to cross a mountain road buried in bushes. I expected it, but a new cut was opened. But there was a big stone at the gate and it was difficult to cross.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 渡合温泉のちょっと前、通行止めと書いてあるゲートが立てるけど、登山者やサイクリストが潜り込めます。
自転車を反対側に運ぶのはかなり難しいから、気をつけてください。
白巣峠までは約1時間半~2時間かかります。 道路はほとんど砂利で、マウンテンバイクだけが効率的に乗ることができます。
良い挑戦でした。
Shortly before Watai Onsen, there is a gate that says "closed", but climbers and cyclists can sneak in.
Be careful as it is quite difficult to carry your bike to the other side.
It takes about one and a half to two hours to reach Shirasu Pass. The roads are mostly gravel and only mountain bikes can ride efficiently.
It was a good challenge.
