ロ	ロン・オッター on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ さいたま市指定史跡です。ここから南約600mにわたって一列に古墳が並んでおり、「大久保古墳群」と呼ばれています。ここの隣を鴨川が流れていますが、江戸時代の河川改修前は入間川であり、そのほとりに並んでいたと思われます。しかし、その多くが個人宅の敷地内だったり、四方を民家で囲まれたりと、なかなか見るだけでも大変なうえ、脇に設置してある案内看板が「どっち向いてるの！？」と、見せる気ゼロだったりしますが、ここは道路に面している上に、案内看板もちゃんと見えますのでおすすめ。尚、ここの周溝からは円筒埴輪の欠片が出土したそうです。周溝とは古墳を取り囲むように掘られた掘のことで、墳丘を造る盛土をここから削り取るとともに、高低差を出してより立派な墳丘に見せる手法です。また、墳域を確定させる目的があったと思われます。 It is a historic site designated by Saitama City.
