御祭神 天照大御神
国道406号線、145号線、292号線（長野街道・日本ロマンチック街道・長野原バイパス）の交差する「大津」交差点の北側、斜面を登った先に「神明神社」があります。
国道に面する一の鳥居から先は手摺付きの石段で、石灯籠が間隔を置いて置かれている石段を登り切った上に二の鳥居があり、鳥居横に「参道階段百段」の寄進碑がありました。
境内には狛犬さんと、左手に末社石祠がいくつか、正面に社殿があり、右手に社務所があります。
昭和五十年（1957）頃の空中写真には長野原バイパスはまだありませんが、ちょうど現在の大津交差点辺りには大きめの建物がいくつも写っていますので、当時から集落の中心的な位置だったのかも知れません。南側を東西に「吾妻川」、西側を南北に「遅沢川」が流れ、川沿いに形成される街道と集落が交差する地域だったと考えられます。
「広報ながのはら」に、三月に「大津神明神社春祭り」、八月に「大津神明神社秋祭り」の記載がありましたが、案内板や資料が見つからず詳しいことは分かりませんでした。

Aerial photograph around 1957 (Showa 50) does not yet have the Naganohara Bypass, but just now there are several large buildings around the Otsu intersection, so it was the central location of the village from that time. maybe. The "Azuma River" flows from east to west on the south side, and the "Sawazawa River" flows from north to south on the west side.
In "Public information Nagahara", there was a description of "Otsu Shinmei Shrine Spring Festival" in March and "Otsu Shinmei Shrine Autumn Festival" in August .
