「今井秋祭り」
九月上旬、今井諏訪神社の秋祭りが今井地区で行われています。
境内で神事を行い、その後子ども神輿が区内を練り歩きます。五穀豊穣と除災招福の願いが込められた秋祭りで、区内は二日間祭りの賑わいをみせています。

「愛妻家の聖地」
嬬恋村誌によると、「明治二十二年（1889）に発足した「嬬恋」の村名は、全くすなおに日本武尊が碓日坂（今の鳥居峠）におたちになって、なき妻弟橘姫を追慕のあまり「あづまはや」とおなげきになって妻をいとしまれたという故事にちなんで名づけられた、と村勢要覧に掲げている。」とされています。

その愛妻家の元祖ヤマトタケルノミコトを祭っている神社として嬬恋村には「五大愛妻神社」があり、その一つが今井諏訪神社です。

日本武尊が東征中、海神の怒りを鎮めるために愛妻・弟橘姫が荒れ狂う海に身を投じました。
その東征の帰路、碓日坂（今の鳥居峠）に立ち、亡き妻を偲んで「吾嬬者耶」（あずまはや）＝「ああ、わが妻よ、恋しい」と嘆きました。
これが世界初の愛妻家宣言、と言われています。
