み	みけねこ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 天仁2（1109）年、那須氏二代・資道による築城（下境城）。その後、平治の乱（1159）で源氏方についた那須氏三代・資満と四代・資清は戦死。資清の子・宗資は、甲斐国稲積床に隠れ住んだ。永万元（1165）年、恩赦により帰国を許された宗資は、祖父の築いた下境城を修復し、亡命中の甲斐国で尊崇していた稲積明神を城内に勧請し稲積城と改名した。天正18（1590）年、那須氏が小田原攻めへの遅参の咎により豊臣秀吉に所領を没収・改易され、当城も廃城となった。那珂川が西に大きく蛇行する浸食断崖の台地上、南北約800ｍ・東西約300ｍの大きな平城だったが、農地化や宅地化により断片的に土塁などの跡が点在するばかりとなっている。地図の示す場所は、城址標柱があって外城。稲積神社参道口辺りで、参道右側に土塁が残っている。 In 1109, the castle was built by Mr. Nasu's second generation, Shimozakai (Shimozakai Castle). あ	あしひろ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021/4/11 とにかくデカイ！城域がデカイ、土塁がデカイ！残念ながら、堀が見当たらない。現在一番の見どころは稲積神社あたり。神社は馬出しの様に城の外郭に位置し、そこから城内側にはバカデカイ土塁を越える必要がある。参道の崖側はこれまたどデカイ土塁があり、外城はかなり重厚な土塁で守られていたようだ。外城から中城へ行くには、これまた巨大な土塁が行くえを阻む。この土塁はほんとに素晴らしい。御城部分はなんだか簡単にアクセス出来そうだが、かつては堅く守られていたのだろう。御城は完全に耕作により破壊されており、平な土地に過ぎないが、周囲は確かに絶壁に囲まれている。御城の虎口にある土塁もまたどデカイ！ 2021/4/11 Anyway, it's big!
