佐	佐々木宏 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 芳朝寺から大田原森田家の墓地を横目に丸太の階段を上っていきますと、やがて峠と思われる所のやや手前を左に折れる丸太で土留めされた細道があります。これを上るとどうやら空堀のような場所に出てそこを更に進むと又、丸太の階段があって上がると平地の篠竹群生地。ここが本丸と思われて案内板があります。奥に東屋もありますが、ボーボーやぶの中で意味不明です。周囲は帯曲輪が配されているように見えましたが、藪と強風でさっぱりわかりません。30年前は綺麗に整備されていたのに残念です。 As you walk up the log stairs from Hocho-ji Temple to the cemetery of the Otawara Morita family, you will find a narrow path that is left behind by a log that can be turned to the left a little in front of what is thought to be a pass. あ	あしひろ on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2021/4/11 芳朝寺の駐車場に車を止めさせてもらい登城。駐車場には森田城の案内板がある。お寺も素晴らしい佇まいてあり、そこからまずは大田原氏の墓地へ。この辺はなんだかマイナスイオン全開で気分爽快。そこからさらに登ると大堀切に。特に城側の斜面は鋭く掘られており、虎口から入って振り返ると巨大な二重堀切であることがわかる。この虎口と主郭への虎口の間は切岸、空堀、土塁で厳重に守られており、主郭への虎口はおそらく城戸があり、攻めるものはそこから引き返して二重堀切の内側から腰郭を通って主郭の下をぐるりとまわらされたのではないか。また第二郭の下には空堀がはっきりと遺りなかなか、堀底も歩けた。主郭は土塁に囲まれており、藪も多いがなかなかである。 2021/4/11 I parked my car in the parking lot of Hochouji Temple and climbed the castle.
