It was well preserved and the summer breeze coming in through the window was very refreshing.

The history museum in the main building is good, but the folk implement exhibition in the annex is just a warehouse without commentary. It's frustrating that there is no bridge even though the Yoshidabashi bus stop is right on the opposite bank.

It's compact, but it's worth seeing! In addition to the folk materials that had been exhibited at the former Yoshida Junior High School building (so-called grandma's house), the history exhibition room that reused the adjacent former Satte Associate Nursing College building was opened in October 2018. Open in the month! It's a little far from the station, but you can see the history and culture of Satte, which was not well known. Beginning with Shimokawabeso in the Kamakura period, it was ruled by the Satte Isshiki family, who was a leading gokenin of Koga Koga. The deadline for the Gongendo River and the prosperity of Nikko Kaido Kotejuku due to the Tonegawa Toshin project in the Edo period. Mergers after the Meiji era, railway construction, etc ... The most discoverable of all is the exhibition related to Honinbo, the highest peak of Go. Since the Edo period, Honinbo has been the leader of the four Go family members (Hon'inbo Shusaku was the strongest Go player in history in Hikaru no Go). Until Honinbo 21st was opened as a title battle, its name has always been hereditary by the most disciples. The astonishing fact that such a superstar in the Go world has been from Satte for three generations in a row! 8th: Honinbo Hakugen, 9th: Honinbo Sougen, 10th: Honinbo Retsugen are all from Satte (Retsugen was found out in 2003), and 3 of them are calling themselves Honinbo. It is no exaggeration to say that Satte dominated the world of chess during the 66 years from 1741 to 1807. The three are neither relatives nor anything, and as mentioned above, they are fighting for the trace of their full ability, and the local favors do not work. For example, Othello originated in Mito, and there are many competitions in Ibaraki Prefecture, and as a result, many world champions have been born from Mito and Tsukuba, but Satte does not originate in Go. It's a mystery that happened too much by chance.

Not a museum, but a local museum. As a local museum, it has a high degree of perfection. The history of becoming Musashi no Kuni from Shimosa, the rise and fall of Kotejuku, the history of flood damage, and local celebrities unique to the region. There are abundant exhibits such as various consumer products and NES mainly in the Showa era. Visited on Saturday afternoon. There were no other viewers, and I was able to tour in a chartered state. Admission is free. The parking lot is also easy to park. There is also Noda's Sekiyado Castle Museum nearby, which can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. If you do a ladder, the local history around the Edo River will become more interesting.

Beginning with the Holocene glacial retreat, the river course moves around artificially, and Satte's roads and scenes have continued to change due to recent development. I wondered how precious people's activities were. I was impressed by the many items and photographs lined up in the abandoned school building, which other local museums do not have. What was interesting was the Bonsho, which was somehow handed down from a village that was abandoned due to the Watarase Retarding Ground.
