★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 徳川吉宗の時代，享保の改革の一環として，関東各地の湖沼地が干拓された。しかし，当地の沼地は干拓されずに残り，皿沼と呼ばれた。
それから約150年後の明治十三年(1880年)，小久喜村の山崎禮助が私財を投じて，皿沼を干拓し，新たな水田地を作った。
それから更に約100年後の昭和四十八年(1973年)，上記の水田整備の際に，当地で見つかった縄文～古墳時代の遺跡の発掘調査が行われ，火災の跡と思われる炭などが発見された。
歴史的にこれだけひっくり返され続けてきた土地から遺跡が見付かったのは凄いことであるが，おそらく，沼の泥地がタイムカプセルとなっていたのだろう。
During the Tokugawa Yoshimune era, lakes and marshes in various parts of the Kanto region were reclaimed as part of the reform of Kyoho. However, the swamp here remained unreclaimed and was called Saranuma.
Approximately 150 years later, in 1880, Reisuke Yamazaki of Koguki Village invested his own money to reclaim Saranuma and create a new paddy field.
Approximately 100 years later, in 1973, during the above-mentioned paddy field maintenance, an excavation survey was conducted on the remains of the Jomon-Kofun period found here, and charcoal, which is thought to be the trace of a fire, was discovered. Was done.
It is amazing that the ruins were found in the land that has been turned upside down historically, but probably the swamp swamp was a time capsule.
