記念館の正面にある大きなモミジが色づく秋がお勧めかも？

雪舟所縁のお寺もありますが、まずはこちらに寄るのがよいかと思います。
雪舟の書いた絵は一枚だけ、あとは違う方の絵です。
雪舟について知識が無くても、こちらの職員の方が雪舟について短い時間で教えてくれます?
来場してから一時間ほどの滞在でかなり詳しくなりました⤴️
小学生の息子も良く理解できたと話していたので、立ち寄って良かったです?
こういった記念館は、説明してくれる方がいると理解が深まり子どもたちも、楽しいようです?
場所が住宅街の中にポツンとある感じで、少々分かりづらかったですが、ナビやGoogleマップを使えば問題なく行けるかと✨
海水浴のついでに、行ってみてもよいと思います?

小規模の記念館ながら、国の重要文化財「益田兼堯像」を初め雪舟、雲谷派の絵画が展示保存されており、また、雪舟の足跡を同記念館を通じて学ぶことが出来る。また、同記念館周囲は雪舟山水郷として整備されており、雪舟の死没地東光寺跡に建つ大喜庵と雪舟の墓、小丸山古墳で構成されている。庭の美麗さもさることながら、記念館館長の丁寧な説明は一聴に値するもので、歴史好きなら楽しめる事間違い無しの場所でもあります。
In Masuda City, following the song St. “Enomoto Maro”, a memorial hall about the city's iconic “Snow Funato”.
Despite being a small memorial, the National Important Cultural Property “Masuda Kaneka Statue” and other paintings of Yukifune and Unya School are on display and preserved. The area around the memorial hall is maintained as Yukifune Sansuigo, and is composed of Daiki Pass, the tomb of Yukifune, and the Komaruyama Kofun, built on the site of Tokoji Temple. Aside from the beauty of the garden, the courtesy of the memorial hall director is worth listening to, and it is a place where you can enjoy it if you like history.

入館料は300円。
岡山県総社に生まれた雪舟は晩年は益田市の寺に入山し、益田氏の殿様がパトロンとして支援をしていたので絵を描きながら悠々自適の生活をしていた。
益田市内の寺2箇所に雪舟が造った日本庭園もあり観光名所になっている。
記念館裏には雪舟が絵やお茶に使う為に造って貰った泉があったり、更に雪舟のお墓もあります。
また、敷地の裏山山頂は小丸山古墳と言う綺麗な前方後円墳です。
市営の記念館で観光案内があまり周知されていないので入館者もまばらだが、
益田市にゆかりのある雪舟の事が良くわかり、肉筆画も見る事ができて大変価値のある記念館です。

Behind the memorial hall, there is a fountain that Sesshu made for painting and tea, and there is also a tomb of Sesshu.
In addition, the summit of Mt. Urayama on the site is a beautiful front-rear burial mound called Komaruyama Kofun.
The number of visitors is sparse because tourist information is not well known at the municipal memorial hall.
It is a very valuable memorial hall where you can get a good idea of Sesshu, which is related to Masuda City, and you can also see hand-drawn drawings.
