★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 遺構の跡にあったお寺が移転したみたいで、建物の基礎が残っていたり、土塁にお墓の跡があったりと、あまり整備されていません。
もう少し整備してもらえるといいのですが・・。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 中世の豪族益田氏の住居跡が公園になっています。
もともとは泉光寺の敷地であったものを市有地・公園化したもので、道路とその周囲の広場、井戸跡、掲示資料が整備されています。
しかしながら旧土塁上にあった墓地の垣根がいくつも残っており、お寺の跡は荒れ地のまま残されています。掲示の一つは草をかき分けて進まないと読める位置にたどり着けません。
予算がなかったのか、もともとの公園整備計画範囲外なのかわかりませんが、未整備部分が景観を損ねていることがお寺があったころの姿を知っている者としては残念です。

Originally the site of Senkoji Temple has been converted into a city-owned land and park, with roads, surrounding plazas, well traces, and posted materials.
However, there are still many cemetery fences on the old ring, and the temple remains in the wasteland. One of the bulletins can only be reached by reading through the grass.
I don't know if there was no budget or it was outside the scope of the original park maintenance plan, but it's a shame for those who know the appearance of the temple when the undeveloped part damaged the landscape.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 益田氏の居館跡と考えられています｡ この館跡の最大の特徴は、東西に残る高さ５ｍの土塁です。南側の土塁は現存していませんが、発掘調査により1m弱の土塁がみつかりました。2ha余りの広さがあり、同規模の領主の館と比較して２倍の大きさがあります。
この居館は益田氏が、関ヶ原合戦後に須佐に移封されるまで使用されていました。平成16年に七尾城跡とともに益田氏城館跡として史跡となっています。
It is believed to be the site of Mr. Masuda's residence. The biggest feature of this site is the 5m high earthwork that remains in the east and west. The earthwork on the south side does not exist, but an excavation survey found an earthwork of less than 1 m. It is about 2ha in size and twice as large as a lord's mansion of the same size.
This building was used until Mr. Masuda was transferred to Susa after the Battle of Sekigahara. In 2004, it became a historic site as the site of Masuda Castle Hall along with Nanao Castle.

墓石は撤去されていますが、墓地の囲いの石が残っているので、整備は中途半端な状態です。かろうじて御土居の土塁跡は残っているので規模は想像できます。
