★ ★ ★ ★ ★ キレイで落ち着いた洋館です。係りの方も上品な方々です。ちょうどフルートとピアノのコンサートをやっていて気分が穏やかになりました。
 It is a beautiful and calm Western-style building. The people in charge are also elegant. Just having a flute and piano concert made me feel calm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 無料。美術館や博物館抜けていく途中にあって最初は素通りしてしまったが、横浜ゴム創業の地でした。道路挟んですぐそばに今の平塚事業所が建ってます。
なかなか風情のある洋館で庭も良さげでした。部屋は貸し出しもやってるみたいです。薔薇の時期とかかなり良さそうです。

It was a very tasteful Western-style building and the garden was nice. The room seems to be rented out. It looks like the rose season is pretty good.

気持ちの良い公園、なにもない広場ではあるけれど、神社の延長の緑
大木の楠達がおおらかな気をつくっています。
洋館の見学は無料。なかでローズティーが飲めます

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 八幡山公園内にある、八幡山の洋館(旧横浜ゴム平塚製造所記念館)を見学しました。入場料無料中は自由に見学できます。現在平塚の空襲と海軍の火薬の写真展示中。国の有形文化財で綺麗な薔薇の庭園に囲まれた洋館で、明治時代に建造されたのに大切に保存されていました。敷地内の公園では紅葉が綺麗です。
We visited the Western-style building of Hachimanyama (former Yokohama Rubber Hiratsuka Factory Memorial Hall) in Hachimanyama Park. You can visit freely while admission is free. Currently, photos of Hiratsuka's air raid and Navy's gunpowder are on display. It is a Western-style building surrounded by a beautiful rose garden, which is a national tangible cultural property. It was built in the Meiji era, but it was carefully preserved. Autumn leaves are beautiful in the park on the premises.

また、事務室、倉庫等の機能を果たす付属棟を新たに付設し
平成21年4月にオープンしました

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 旧横浜ゴム平塚製造所記念館と名付けられていますが、この建物の歴史は1905年（明治38年）に設立された「日本火薬製造（のちの海軍火薬廠）」に招聘された
イギリスの技術者のために建設された宿舎に始まっています。
何度か所有者は代わり、戦後横浜ゴム所有を経て、2004年平塚市が譲り受け、現在の八幡山公園内に移築され公開されています。
八幡山公園は平塚八幡宮に隣接した所にあり、平塚駅から歩いて15分位かかります。
日中はもちろん、建物に灯りが灯る夜に行かれるのもなかなかいい雰囲気が感じられておすすめです。
It is named the former Yokohama Rubber Hiratsuka Factory Memorial Hall, but the history of this building was invited to the "Japanese Explosives Manufacturing (later Navy Explosives Factory)" established in 1905 (Meiji 38).
It begins with a dormitory built for British engineers.
After the war, the owner changed several times, and after the possession of Yokohama Rubber, Hiratsuka City took over in 2004, and it was relocated to the present Hachimanyama Park and is open to the public.
Hachimanyama Park is located next to Hiratsuka Hachimangu, and it takes about 15 minutes on foot from Hiratsuka Station.
It is recommended to go not only during the day but also at night when the building is lit, as it has a nice atmosphere.
