★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 詳しくはよく分からないがここは跡地の記念碑だけですね。近くの羽黒神社や普門院を含め、国指定史跡なんでしょう、多分。
 I do not know in detail, but here is only the monument of the ruins. It is probably a national designated historic site, including the nearby Haguro Shrine and Fumon-in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 江戸時代寛政期(1789〜1801年)頃米沢藩では田畑の荒廃、年貢収入の減少による財政危機が発生していた。上杉治憲(はるのり)藩主は大倹約令を出して財政整理を行い、米沢織の振興、商品作物の栽培など殖産興業を行った。藩校「興譲館」を設立し、折衷学派の儒学者細井平洲(ほそいへいしゅう)を招き、藩士や百姓の文教教化を進めた。その業績を讃えるものです。
Around the Kansei period (1789-1801) during the Edo period, the Yonezawa domain suffered a financial crisis due to the devastation of fields and a decrease in annual tribute income. The feudal lord of Harunori Uesugi issued a great pledge order to reorganize the finances, promote Yonezawa Ori, and cultivate commercial crops. Established the clan school "Kojokan" and invited eclectic scholar Hosoi Heishu to promote the education of clan scholars and peasants. It praises the achievement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 米沢藩を建て直した中興の祖、上杉治憲(鷹山)が、その師である細井清州を呼びよせた地として普門院が国の史跡となっています。
細井清州の地元の愛知県東海市との協同で銅像が建てられました。
Fumonin is a national historical site as a place where Haruko Ken Uesugi (Takayama), the founder of Chukoh who rebuilt the Yonezawa clan, called his teacher, Kiyosu Hosoi.
A statue was built in cooperation with Hosoi Cheongju's local Tokai City, Aichi Prefecture.
