★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 50年位前、寒川神社のお祭りには良く行ってた。その当時には、大きな神社だと思っていました。昔を思い出していました。ここの狛犬は、ヘルメット被ったような頭部の形で面白い。
 About 50 years ago, I used to go to the festival at Samukawa Shrine. At that time, I thought it was a big shrine. I remembered the old days. The guardian dog here is interesting because it looks like a helmet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 久しぶりに参拝させて頂きました。寒川神社の本殿は開放されているので御神鏡が近くに見えるので心が癒されます。社務所が温泉街にある旅館みたいでビックリしました。参拝できて良かったです。
I visited you for the first time in a long time. Since the main shrine of Samukawa Shrine is open, you can see the Shinto mirror nearby, so your heart will be healed. I was surprised that the office was like an inn in a hot spring town. It was good to be able to worship.

本千葉駅から徒歩8分程、閑静な住宅街に有る神社。度重なる火災で古い資料が残っておらず創建時期は不明ながら、かなり歴史の有る神社の様だ。二の鳥居手前に社務所が有り、御朱印を書入れて頂ける。
2021.4.3. Worship
A shrine in a quiet residential area, about an 8-minute walk from Hon-Chiba Station. It looks like a shrine with a long history, although it is unknown when it was built because there are no old materials left due to repeated fires. There is a company office in front of the second torii gate, where you can write a red stamp.

その昔は漁師町であったが、高度成長の波により、海岸が埋め立てられ、京葉工業地域が形成されていく。海岸線はだいぶ遠くなってしまいました。それでも、例祭には御浜下りが行われているそうです。
御朱印には、その御浜下りの様子を絵にしたものが用意されています。初穂料は500円。
駐車場は旧国道沿いに2～3台が停められる程度のスペースがあります。ただし、道に面しているので、出るときは気を付けてください。
An old shrine in Samugawa-cho, Chiba.
It used to be a fisherman's town, but due to the waves of high growth, the coast is reclaimed and the Keiyo Industrial Zone is formed. The coastline is far away. Even so, it seems that Mihama descent is being held at the annual festival.
A picture of the descent of Mihama is available on the Goshuin. The initial charge is 500 yen.
The parking lot has enough space for 2 to 3 cars along the old national highway. However, please be careful when you leave as it faces the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 祭神は、天照大神が主神、寒川比古命・寒川比賣命が脇神
延喜式内社の寒川神社と言われ、寒川地区の総鎮守。
古く神明神社または伊勢明神と呼ばれていた。
1591年 徳川家康も十石を寄進。
1868年 社号を寒川神社に改める。
昔は、海上往来の船が沖にさしかかると帆を半ばまで下げる礼帆で航行し、社前を馬上で通行する者は下馬して敬意を表したと伝えられる。
幾度かの火災に見舞われ、多くの宝物を失ったが、神鏡・神幣・獅子頭は焼失を免れ、現在に伝えられる。
獅子頭は、桐材漆塗で刻法は力強く、全体に古雅であり、ご神体として祀られている。

Amaterasu Omikami is the main god, and Samukawa Hikomei and Samukawa Hikomei are the wakigami gods.
It is said to be the Samukawa Shrine of the Enki-shiki Naisha, and is the total guardian of the Samukawa area.
It used to be called Shinmei Shrine or Ise Myojin.
1591 Ieyasu Tokugawa also donated ten stones.
1868 The company name is changed to Samukawa Shrine.
In the olden days, when a ship coming and going by sea approached offshore, it sailed with a bow sail that lowered the sail to the middle, and it is said that those who pass in front of the company on horseback disembarked and paid homage.
Many treasures were lost due to several fires, but the Shinto mirror, Shinto mirror, and lion head survived the burning and are passed down to the present day.
The lion head is paulownia lumber lacquered and the engraving method is powerful.

御朱印は見開きの書き置きのものが何点かあり、どれも可愛らしいイラスト入りのものがありました。

狛犬も可愛らしく、どう見てもあしたのジョーの力石に見えて仕方ありませんでした。
