平	平野善信 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 和歌山とは真逆でＪＲは市駅、南海は堺. 堺東駅と住み分けされて呼ばれる駅。今から半世紀以上前の1965年3月から1967年10月迄約2年半の間だけだが、キハ82系特急くろしおの間合い運用で爆誕した、名古屋↔亀山↔奈良↔(阪和貨物線)↔堺市↔東和歌山(現和歌山)間を結んだ特急あすかの停車駅で、特急運行開始に合わせて金岡駅から改称され堺市駅に成ったようですが、此の駅も含めて乗客が少なく幻の特急停車駅に成ったようです。関西空港へは関空快速でほぼ満足でしょうが、阪和線名物の先行列車のノロノロ運行に付き合う運行ダイヤならば、京都. 新大阪. 和歌山. 白浜方面へは特定特急料金を設定して、此の駅に停車させれば利用価値が有るように思えるのですが？又、幻の特急停車駅に戻るかもです‼ Contrary to Wakayama, JR is a city station and Nankai is Sakai. It was renamed Sakai-Kanaoka Stop (堺金岡停留場場, Sakai-Kanaoka Teiryujo) on 1 August 1941 and arrived at Kanaoka Staion (金岡駅, Kanaoka eki) on 1 May 1944. It became Sakaishi station on May 1, 1965. With the privatization of Japan National Railways (JNR) on April 1, 1987, the station came under the auspices of West Japan Railway Company.
