Truly spectacular in winter. Some parts were frozen over but still gushing waters in the middle portions of the waterfalls. Very beautiful, and with a calm still beauty all around the falls. Just a short bus ride from Kegon Falls which is equally spectacular.. A must visit while in Nikko.

Seated in Nasuahiobara national park, walking down the road with mountains and steam and takes about 20min to reach the waterfall. In spring the water floods filled with much minus ions.

It’s a perfect Autumn day for a jog on 10/14/21?‍♀️, but a bit early for the colors?? It would be fabulous in 10 days to enjoy more reds and yellows❣️

Ryuzu Waterfall located near Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture - upstream from the Yugawa River that makes its way into Lake Chūzenji and Lake Yunoko. Beautiful spot to visit.

Easy to view, simply park and enter through the shop in the center to the back to view the dual waterfalls. We missed the peak fall when the leaves were at its best viewing but still beautiful nonetheless. A gift shop, coffee stand and hot ramen is available here as well.

This waterfalls is near Nikko, in Japan. We took a bus from Nikko Station. Needless to say that the bus and train connections are extremely convenient in Japan. It was a very scenic drive through forest area next to a lake in many parts. It was a rainy day, so we couldn't explore much. The bus stop was very close to the waterfalls. We walked a bit from the bus stop to reach the falls, the twin falls looked great. The trees around had partly fall colors which made it very beautiful. There was a gift shop and a small restaurant. There was a hiking trail to the top. But we couldn't do it because of rain. On the way back to the station, we stopped at a famous temple and took a few pictures of an ancient bridge - Shinkiyo bridge over a gorgeous river and with the back drop of mountains. The whole of Nikko area was very scenic with rivers, lakes, waterfalls, mountains and forests.
