One of the best meals we had in a month in Tokyo. Vegetables are hard to come by in Japan, and after two months of travelling the country we stumbled on Rojiura Curry Samurai after our visit to the Ghibli Museum. Prices range from about 1100 yen to 1500 yen for most dishes including tax. The "Normal" spicy level (Level 1) is already quite spicy, so you may want to choose level 0 if you have no tolerance at all. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and abundant. The pork belly was delicious and tender. The added coconut flavour to the curry gave it a great rounded and sweeter taste. There's also a patio that is fantastic in beautiful weather. We'll be coming back again!

The crispy chicken with 20 vegetables was delicious. This may be one of the best meals I've had in Japan.

Rojiura Curry Samurai is a hidden spot in Kichijoji area and the ambiance is relaxed & cozy. There was a line during lunch time on a weekday and the wait is about 1 hour. They serve the best soup curry I have ever had, we tried the most popular one: chicken with 20 veggies and pork with 13 veggies. After deciding the entree of order, you can choose how spicy you want and the portion of rice with different price points. The veggies in the curry vary every day based on different seasons and the quality in the market in order to keep the freshness, so I highly recommend to have 20 kinds of veggies. The only complaint is they are *Cash Only* but I will definitely visit again if we are in Tokyo.

Amazing curry, but what really made the meal were the toppings. The chicken was effortlessly pulled off the bone and the vegetables were freshly arranged from various regions of Japan. The curry was closer to a light soup-broth texture, which was more pleasant post meal than richer thick curry stocks. A bit of a wait, but there’s plenty of shops worth meandering in the vicinity to help kill time.

Came on Saturday at 12:10, was seated at 13:10 so exactly an hour on the busiest day and time. The place is really nice, wooden interior with zashiki (seating on the floor) spots, tables and counter seats. You can choose from regular and coconut based soup (+100 yen). They have a large selection including chicken, pork kakuni (braised pork), vegetables, tofu or minced meat. You can also make your own soup curry from a menu on the wall (pick 3 or 4 kinds). This is, hands down, one of best soup curries I had.

My friends told me it's the best soup curry she has in Tokyo and it's real. I love the spicy curry with lots of vegetables and soft chicken. U will love it.

Full of ingredients!! Both two different curry we had were very flavorful and tasty! You can choose spicy levels from “0” which is awesome for people who can’t eat spicy/hot food like us.
