★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 記念館の直ぐ隣でそれ程高くないが景色は良い。ただし、足の悪い御老人の方々にとっては、多少きついかもしれない。展望台から桟橋も見える。
 Right next to the memorial, it is not very expensive but the view is good. However, it may be a bit harder for older people with poor feet. The pier can be seen from the observatory.

今年（2020年）、GoToトラベルを利用しての大河ドラマゆかりの地訪問（１０月初め）に併せて、思い切って東舞鶴へも立ち寄ることにしました（少し遠かったけど..）
やはり立ち寄って良かったです。過去、仕事の出張に併せて広島平和公園、江田島、鹿児島などの記念館も訪れていますが、とても複雑な心境と共に改めて考えさせられるものがあります...
I am a generation born after the end of the war living in Kanto, but here Higashi Maizuru is a place I would like to visit if I have a chance someday.
This year (2020), I decided to take the plunge and stop by Higashi-Maizuru (although it was a little far away) in conjunction with my visit to a place related to the Taiga drama using GoTo Travel (early October).
After all it was good to stop by. In the past, I have visited memorial halls such as Hiroshima Peace Park, Etajima, and Kagoshima along with my business trips, but there are things that make me think again with a very complicated feeling ...

When you go up a little hill, you can see the view. I definitely want to stop by when I visit the Repatriation Memorial Hall.
