They open late into the evening making returns easy and they give you a little run down of Japanese rules of the road before you head off. Smoothest most efficient bike rental experience we’ve ever had.

We only had one day in Kyoto and went with the electric assist bikes, they made getting around Kyoto so easy and comfortable, especially in the super hot weather! It was well worth doing we saw so much in one day. Highly recommend this place because of the friendly team too, they speak English and were really helpful with giving directions and advice on the best routes and where to park (parking is restricted to dedicated bike parking). Definitely use these guys and their bikes to explore Kyoto!

The bike were in good shape and they came with a double battery so that we could keep them overnight and the bikes would stay charged. Eguchi-san was so helpful, he suggested the best bike routes and even found covered bike parking near our hotel. Kyoto Eco Trip offers a bag drop service so we were able to get off the train, rent the bikes and begin to explore Kyoto right away. Later in the evening, when we arrived at our hotel, our bags were there waiting for us. It was a great experience.
J	JNL on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great! I arrived later in the afternoon around 3pm and saw the day rate was only till 6pm. The guy was kind enough to give me a discount because he didn't want to charge me for the full day. I also opted in for the late return option which was till 10pm and only a couple extra hundred yen. This gave me plenty of time to explore Kyoto by Bicycle. They are super friendly and helpful. They provide a booklet guide on how to get to and around the main tourist destinations. Also tell you where you're allowed to park your bike and which roads you cannot ride your bike on. Bike lock is provided. Definitely recommend this place! Very close to the station as well, quick 5 minute walk.

I got there around 1pm and already ran out of their cheapest bike, so I got the standard 3-gear bike for 1000 yen. Rental starts at 800 yen for a whole day (9 am to 6pm sharp). They have electric bikes too. Staffs are very friendly and speak English well. They also will provide a map of Kyoto for free.

I rent extra long battery model, 10 km use 20% of the battery. be aware: when temp >25C, put on sun protection! It is pretty hot in Kyoto during summer. bike parking within tourist shopping section is not easy to find free spots.
