I saw it in June of the first year of Reiwa. I think this is the third time. Compared to Sanzen-in, the number of visitors was small, and there was only one other than me. The sitting statue of Sanyorai enshrined in the main hall dates from the Heian period and is designated as an important cultural property.

A temple located just under 10 minutes on the slope in front of Sanzen-in Temple. The building is a small temple with only an office and a main hall. In the main hall, there are three statues of Amida Nyorai and Shaka Nyorai centered around Yakushi Nyorai. Isn't it a rare line? All are important cultural properties. It has a different face and figure from Amida Sanson in the neighboring Sanzenin. It's hard to understand the expression, but you can see it slowly from the front and very close positions on the left and right. It's located in a deeper place, so it's much vacant than Sanzenin. The main hall is magnificent and the moss in the garden is beautiful, so I think it's a good idea to stretch out and visit.

At the temple of the Tendai sect further back in Sanzen-in, you can worship Shaka Nyorai, Yakushi Nyorai, and Mida Nyorai nearby (-people-) There is also a mausoleum of Ryonin Shonin of the Yuzu Nembutsu sect.

Seen from the Ohara bus stop, it is a temple further back in Sanzen-in. It is said that the number of worshipers is one tenth of that of Sanzen-in, but the history of this area is much longer than that of Sanzen-in, and it is quite impressive. The head and shoulders in the main hall are well designated by the country. Ohara is a retreat for the nobles, and although you can't see the majestic temples that overwhelm the surroundings like the Daiji Temple in Rakuchu, there are many good temples to relax and worship. It's a waste to go back to Rakuchu just by looking at Sanzen-in Temple, so I think it's a good idea to spend a day sightseeing.

Raigo-in is a 10-minute climb from Sanzen-in along the adjacent stream. Leave the hustle and bustle and enter the world of silence at once ... Founded in the early Heian period by Saicho's disciple Ennin, it was opened as a fundamental dojo for singing Buddhist texts musically. It is called a statement. It seems that this is the source of Japanese music, connected with the fist of enka → kouta → folk song → enka. When you pass through the mountain gate, the reception will tell you the route. First of all, the autumn leaves that fell on the moss in the precincts are beautiful. It's 500 yen today. A wooden three-seater statue is enshrined in the main hall. The middle Yakushi Nyorai cures the mental illness, the Amida Nyorai on the left leads to Sukhavati Jodo in the post-mortem world, and the Shaka Nyorai on the right is the Buddha of the past world ... At the end of the Heian period, it was enshrined in each main hall, but there was a big fire and it was said that the head and shoulders were gathered and rescued, and of course it is an important cultural property of the country. It is strange that you can see it in front of you. (The point is that no one is there.) Today, the painting of the statue of Tathagata is also open to the public, and strangely, when I go out after seeing it, the sun is shining. Now you can go to Otonashi Falls ? Otonashi no Taki, it seems that he used to make a statement toward this waterfall. Now, the sound of the waterfall, the fall foliage, and the negative ions ... What a refreshing heart! By the way, if you have good legs, there is also a way to train to Mt. Hiei ...

A very peaceful place, right in the woods.

The significant walk up the hill is definitely worth it. Away from the crowds of Sanzen in this is a calm temple tucked away in the woods. It's a little pricey given it isn't a large place with a lot on show though.
