Uoyama Shorin-in monk. In 1918, Fugenin and Rigakuin were integrated and moved to the precincts of the former Fugenin. For this reason, Jikko-in has a former Fugen-in garden, a strolling-style former Rigakuin garden. Koshinen is a garden built around "Shinji Pond". "Permanent cherry blossoms" are planted in the center of the old Rigakuin garden, and it seems to be in bloom from autumn to spring. Yes, the cherry blossoms were in bloom even though they were colored leaves. Besides, it was the first time to see Bianzhong and Bianqing stone. Matcha was recommended at the reception desk, but I declined it because I had just received it at Hosen-in Temple. 2020.11.26

Take a bus bound for Ohara from JR Kyoto Station for about one hour. 15 minutes walk after getting off at the terminal. Or From JR Kyoto Station, get off at Kokusaikaikan Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, and take a bus to Ohara from there for a 15-minute walk. A temple of the Tendai sect built as a child institute of Shorinin in the north of Sanzenin. Walk a little while looking right at the gate of Sanzen-in Temple. Pay the admission fee at the reception. 700 yen including matcha fee. 500 yen without matcha. There is a palace on the left side as you look at the reception You can enjoy the view of the garden while having matcha. Visited in early December 2019. The peak of the autumn leaves has passed and people are sparse Jikoin is reserved for us. A bright, open and quiet space. Feeling cold soaked. A luxurious time to relax while having matcha. The tea confection is delicious with a scent of Nikki. You can purchase it at the reception on the way back. A beautifully landscaped garden You can enjoy the seasonal flowers throughout the year. It is small, but it is full of prospects. We were able to see a rare "perpetual cherry tree".

Although it is not as famous as Sanzen-in, it is rarely visited and you can enjoy a moist and beautiful garden. The well-maintained garden has an atmosphere like a mansion with good personality, unlike that of a large temple. The tea room is also nice. The constant cherry blossoms that bloom from autumn to spring are not flashy, and I think they suit this garden.

A temple associated with the Emperor. I went there the day after it snowed. It's been a long time since it's been a long time since it snowed so much, and it was sunny and sunny this day. Ohara of snow was very beautiful. I prayed to Jizo Bodhisattva that there was an instrument like a xylophone made of stone and I thought that it was made hundreds of years ago, and I wondered if the roots of the xylophone were here. The garden was beautiful and the cherry blossoms that bloomed all year round were in bloom the day after it snowed, so it was a very strange feeling. The garden was unexpectedly large because it didn't look wide. It was good to be able to choose between just watching at the entrance and with tea. Socks are essential as you can take off your shoes.

At the reception of Jikko-in "Sumimasen" I'd like to ask you a little, but is the precincts crowded now? "Fufu" The guest hall is reserved now! If so, yes, the admission fee is 700 yen. This Jikko-in is also a temple belonging to Shorin-in, and is said to have been reconstructed by the Soshinhoin during the Oei era (1394-1428). The guest hall was built in 1921 and is new. The principal image is the statue of Jizo Bodhisattva, the statues of Fudo Myo and Bishamonten on the side, and first of all, I pray and look at the ornamental garden in front of the guest hall. Chairs are also prepared here and it is kind. By the way, don't sit on the porch. I'm relieved that some people have the same complaints. To the south of the guest hall, there is a pond spring strolling garden called "Keishinen". Take a walk here wearing the prepared sandals. It's small but full of attractions. The sound of the water flowing in the pond, and the lion-sounding sound in the back make the sound soften. Is that stepping stone over the pond the same as the Wolong Bridge at Heian Jingu? The point is that you can enjoy the clouds and scenery in the pond twice. "Uninterrupted Sakura" introduced by a signboard at the entrance to Sanzen-in Temple It's blooming quietly. The tea room called "Rigakuan", which is probably the site of the former Rigakuin, and even the persimmon trees are quietly ... It is good to see both with the autumn leaves ✌️

The most peaceful temple I visited in Ohara. The matcha and sweets were also a welcomed treat.
