It has grown into a fine plum after 50 years. Tenmasha, which was founded by Ota Michikan, is now Hirakawa Tenmangu Shrine and has been relocated to Hirakawa Town by Ieyasu's Edo Castle construction and the 2nd Shogun Tokugawa Hidetada Edo Castle expansion. Above Umebayashi, there was Kamumebayashi Gate, the main entrance.

飯	飯野博之 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 梅林坂は江戸城天守台の東側にある梅林が美しい坂道です。現在では皇居東御苑のなかにあり、同園の入口は大手門、平川門、北桔橋門の3ヶ所になりますが、平川門が最寄りです。東京メトロ東西線竹橋駅近くの平川門を入り、平川濠と天神濠の間を抜けると現れます。江戸城を築城した太田道灌が菅原道真を祀ってこの辺りに天神社を建て、梅の木数百株を植えたのが始まりだそうです。現在では約70本の紅白の梅の木が植えられてます。今回天皇誕生日(２月23日)に伺いましたが、紅梅は満開。白梅はこれからが見頃な開花具合でした。 Plum Trees is a beautiful slope on the east side of the castle tower of Edo Castle. Currently, about 70 red and white plum trees are planted. I visited the Emperor's Birthday (February 23rd) this time, and the red plums are in full bloom. Shiraume was in full bloom from now on.
