Well, you can found better place than this garden. Its nice, and everything. But few minutes away from there you can found a much nicer and better garden. So, i wouldn't recommend just to go because of the garden

This is a beautiful Japanese garden. Admission is free. It is a great place to pack a picnic and enjoy the day. There are traditional historic building and walls with educational displays around the garden.

Beautiful gardens to stroll around in. It is a very large garden, know that you will be walking A LOT. There are fields that you can picnic on and rest. Great for couples, families, and one person wandering. You cannot see the imperial palace from here. The only way to see the palace would be to book a tour in the palace through their website!!

Admission is free, and the gardens are very nice. I particularly liked the contrast of seeing the traditional buildings with the skyscrapers outside as a backdrop. We visited on a monday in May, before lunch. While there were a fair number of people inside the gardens, there wasn't a long line to enter. Like most places in Japan, there is a security check to go through before entering, but it was very quick.

Very calm and peaceful place to spend your time. It is not usually crowded. Admission is free. You can easily spend hours walking around and exploring the gardens , the different sections and see the remnants of the Edo period. It easily took me two hours to walk around the entire garden. They have AC rest rooms available around the garden to rest. It is a beautiful place to spend your time away from the hustle of the city. Must visit place. It is a ten minute walk away from the tokyo station.

An amazing garden! It is incredible how you can find such a tranquil and peaceful spot in the middle of Tokyo. You can come for a walk or stay for half a day, this garden is amazing with the pond, fish, walking paths, trees and different colors. There are also toilets and rest areas nearby

This whole area is a very nice place to spend the day. There is also a huge open area for you to chill, appreciate and soak in the surrounding beauty. The imperial palace is just next to it so it is very easy to just spend 1 whole day around this part of tokyo. Tip: There will be alot of tourguide in this garden, therefore, just discretely tag along to get detailed history and explanation of the area.

It's a nice garden. Maybe not the best, but you can't beat the fact that it's free to enter. I went during the winter time and many of the plants and flowers were just starting to bloom, but did not actually finish. To say the least, it's a nice place to relax and take a stroll, but don't come during the winter time and expect a vibrant garden. There was also a small exhibit showcasing a building that was used during some wartime, which I found to be rather interesting.
