★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the great places to observe the real onsen (SPA) water urges from the ground. There are lots of free ashi no yu (hot water to put your feet) and many hotels, ryokans and daily spa around. You can spend whole day here. Take your time and visit the river side. You will be amazed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing display of strong geologic forces. Water & steam gush forward from cracks where the walls of the scenic valley meet the ground. Getting to the valley floor takes a few hundred steps, but it is well worth it. There are also waterfalls nearby to appreciate. A must-visit spot if you're passing by the area.
