★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 京都駅からは2駅で10分ほどとアクセス良好です。駅ビル最近できて活気あるが県庁所在地の駅としては大きくないかもしれません。緑多くほのぼのしており人が空いた京都みたいな雰囲気かも。琵琶湖や三井寺へは徒歩30分ほど、タクシーが一番便利、路面電車の駅からJRまでも幾分か歩きます。

飲食店とマンションが少し増えてたが、、車も少ない。

県庁は歩いて10分くらい。
