弘法大師の硯水- 昔，諸国を巡行して歩いた弘法大師（空海）が，この地を通りかかったおり書を記そうとしたが，墨を摺る水が無い．そこで持っていた杖で地面を突くとたちまち水がこんこんとわき出したという．-「大町市史」より
車の流れの速い道路に面しているうえ，駐車場がありません．自動車を路肩に寄せてさっと水を汲みに行く程度であっても，閑散期を狙う必要があります．
