★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the location is just at the lake side ... u can enjoy the view from their restaurant it s lovely. Yet, when i chked in, they gave a room which the toilet pump was making quite noise .... n the reception seemed very used to it pfff

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just stayed here for the second time. Again during a cycling trip in Japan. I love the location at Lake Biwa. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit far away from anything. If you don't have your own transport, you're kind a stuck.
Breakfast buffet is great! Huge selection of Japanese and Western food. Rooms are quite large for Japanese Standards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our second time to visit this place. Hotel itself is 3star but the view and calm surroundings are fabulous. No tourists, lots of historical sites to explore. Staff members at the hotel were helpful and friendly. Food is average but fine. We will be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice old style hotel. Wood paneling in spacious lake view rooms. Convenient ski Bus. Friendly staff (though no English). Room had no double bed but two singles and two convertible couches. Short walk to Makino train station. Great sunrise view over the lake from rooms and restaurant.
