★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 宇喜多直家公の菩提寺で、本堂前に巨大な五輪塔(直家公供養塔)があります。御朱印も気さくに引き受けて戴けました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔、岡山城?の場所にお寺があった由緒あるお寺です。建物内では岡山城の大きな復元模型があり上から下からと、当時の城主気分で眺めてしまいました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 威厳がビンビン感じられて、ゆっくり境内を見て回ることが出来ずさっさと退散。同じく訪れていたお年寄りのお話だと、岡山寺（おかやまじ）は平安時代から続き、元は丸の内の旧NHK社屋跡地あたりにあったそうです。しかし境内にあまり歴史的な由来等を記すものが無くちょっと寂しい気も。
