写真は2015年2月に撮ったものです。この神社は国道319号線・五條信号から190号線に入ると約200ｍで右側に一の鳥居、左側に御旅所があり、そこから約200ｍ程東に神社が鎮座しています。
御旅所は広く綺麗に整備され、参道途中には沢山の奉納者名が書かれた石碑が建ち並び、この社に対する崇敬の深さをこの時点で感じられます。
随神門の内側には二対の木鼻狛犬が取り付けられ、唐破風の付いた拝殿、大きな本殿、社名が付けられた境内社など参拝していてとても気持ちの良い神社でした。

境内に大きな出水があって古から水神を祀り、中世には八幡神を祀ったという由来が社名になっています。嘗ては小松郷全域の産土神でしたが、現在は満濃町四条と五条の産土神となりました。
社伝によれば、大干魃で里人が苦しんでいるのをみた神櫛王六世の孫篠目命が井を掘らせたところ、清水がこんこんと湧き出ました。その神恩を奉謝して大井の傍らに水神を祀ったのが始まりといわれています。
旧社格では郷社に列しています。（紹介ホームページより一部抜粋）
"Kotohira Town: Oihachimangu"
The photo was taken in February 2015. This shrine is about 200m from National Highway 319 / Gojo signal, and there is a torii gate on the right side and an Otabisho on the left side. The shrine is located about 200m east of it.
The Otabisho is large and beautifully maintained, and many stone monuments with the names of the dedicators are lined up along the approach, and you can feel the depth of reverence for this company at this point.
Two pairs of wooden nose guardian dogs were attached to the inside of the Zuijinmon gate, and it was a very pleasant shrine to worship at the worship hall with Karahafu, the large main shrine, and the precincts shrine with the company name.

The company name comes from the fact that there was a large flood in the precincts and the water god was enshrined from ancient times, and in the Middle Ages the Hachiman god was enshrined. It used to be the Ubusunagami of the entire Komatsugo area, but now it is the Ubusunagami of Manno-cho Shijo and Gojo.
According to the company's biography, when Shinome, the grandson of Prince Kamukushi VI, who saw the drought suffering from the villagers, dug a well, Shimizu sprang up. It is said that the beginning was to apologize for the divine grace and worship the water god beside Oi.
