敏達天皇の御代に創建されたという古社。
赤い鳥居の横に数台停められる駐車場がある。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 御朱印をお願いしたところ大高山神社のパンフレットも添えて頂きありがとうございました。延喜式大社のひとつということで大変歴史のある神社です。白鳥信仰伝説の話も書かれています。

朱色の立派な一の鳥居が目立つ延喜式内社(明神大社)で、571年に創建されたという、歴史的にも由緒正しい神社です。珍しい南蛮鉄の鳥居、鎌倉時代に寄進された鉄九輪塔、立派な狛犬が目に付きます。
近年では地元有志の方々により舞殿が奉納されたりと、篤い崇敬を受けてきたのが伝わる神社です。
It is a shrine in Kanagase, Ogawara Town.
It is a historically venerable shrine that was built in 571 at the Enki-shiki Naisha (Myojin Taisha), where the magnificent vermilion torii gate stands out. You can see the rare Nanban iron torii gate, the iron nine-wheeled tower donated during the Kamakura period, and the magnificent guardian dogs.
In recent years, the shrine has been deeply revered, with the Maiden being dedicated by local volunteers.
