大きな吹き抜けのある建物が格好いい郷土資料館です。無料で見学できます。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昨今はどこの地域の郷土館に行っても入館料なるものが発生する。
この【しばたの郷土館】は無料である。
無料だから、できることは限られているのは仕方がない。
が、しかし、つい数十年前の近代日本の風物を知るには充分な心配りのしてある資料が展示されている。
もっと広いスペースに、さまざまにテーマを絞ってというのも理想としてはあるだろう。
収蔵品で眠らせてしまっているのも、あるいは保管できないものも出てきているに違いない。
だが、無料で頑張って展示しているのを見ると、町の行政の心意気のようなものを感じるのも事実。
時折イベントなども開催している。
何かの折に立ち寄って、郷愁を感じられたら、ひとしきりの話題とともに忘れていたものに出会った喜びも思い出すのかもしれない。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 正面に砂利敷ですがかなり広い駐車場があります様普段は無料ですがイベント時期は有料になります。こちらは無料で閲覧出来る郷土資料館です。
こじんまりとしていますが、見応えがありますよ。
