★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for a walk, both funaoka and ogawara work as starting points. Restrooms available near a public playground about midway.
Gets pretty busy during hanami season but is worth it (though maybe bring a bento as there are not too many combini around)
Out of it, a quiet relaxing riverside walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was there on a quite gloomy day,with a few rain drops in April. The sakura wasn't in full bloom state. But this place is really a must go for anyone who just want to walk along the road and enjoy Sakura festival. I definitely will come back to this place and spend all day here. Btw, I hope I got this place name right since it is all in Japanese ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit in April and you will be greeted s with many Sakura trees that are breathtaking. Bring a blanket so that you can sit under the tree and have picnic with the locals. You will love this day trip from Sendai Station. Allow 30 minutes travel from Sendai, picnic and photo time, then 30 minutes back. This really is a hidden gem.
