The surrounding environment is also a place rich in nature and is a quiet mountain village.

Sainokami no Fuji is located in the mountainous area of ​​Kochidani, a little east of Ounbashi on Minamiari Road, Oe-cho, Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture. (Sainogami no Fuji Park) The wisteria of Sainogami is a large naturally growing Yamafuji that is estimated to be over 1200 years old and is designated as a natural monument in Kyoto Prefecture. Previously, a giant zelkova tree, which is over 2000 years old and is considered to be a sacred tree, became a natural wisteria trellis. Currently, zelkova has broken branches and hollowed out the root of the trunk due to several lightning strikes, so Fujinogi is supported by steel frames instead. The appearance of the wisteria trellis, which is 30 meters long and 27 meters wide, of a large wisteria tree consisting of 6 large and small stocks, including a stock with a trunk circumference of 180 cm, feels the mystery of nature. During the flowering season from early May to mid-May, the wisteria shelf is covered with purple wisteria flowers and the area is surrounded by the sweet scent of wisteria. It is said that he grew up as he is now because no one was afraid to touch it because he always receives the punishment for abdominal pain when he breaks a tree. "Guide plate" The wisteria of the god of talent used to be 7.9 meters long, and six wisteria with a root circumference of more than 1 meter stood up, entwined with a large zelkova tree that was over 2,000 years old. Both have been cherished as a sacred tree. The branches of the zelkova were broken by several lightning strikes, the root of the trunk was hollowed out, and a part of the trunk supported the two branches. Instead of the zelkova branches of the natural wisteria trellis, the wisteria is supported by steel frames and branches as before, with long, beautiful purple cloud spikes hanging in mid-May to give off a fragrance. Around this time, a grand wisteria festival is held.
